Rain Claims Opening Night of 28th Annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals; Revised Weekend Format Announced

Little Rock, Arkansas (October 28th, 2015) A late-afternoon, rain shower has forced I-30 Speedway officials to cancel the 3rd Annual Short Track Open
for Wednesday, October 28th.

With good weather forecasted for Thursday and Friday, but inevitable rain now forecasted for Saturday, track officials have decided to alter the weekend’s
schedule to best accommodate fans and racers for the remainder of the 28th Annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tire.

A complete $3,000-to-win/$300-to-start program will now be held on both Thursday and Friday evening. If a driver wins both nights he or she will receive a
$1,000 bonus. All competitors will be permitted to race in each program. The top two finishers from each event will lock into the finale for a soon-to-be
announced mega event at the facility in early Spring.

“Discussions with the National Weather Service over the past few days had given us a glimmer of hope for the weekend to be run in its entirety, but today
we received unexpected, additional rain to go with no sunshine,” said track promoter, Tracey Clay. “The facility will be ready for action on Thursday and
Friday. However, with a poor forecast for Saturday, we want to give racers a chance to leave here with some money this weekend while also giving the
fans a great show.”

She concluded by saying, “We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding, and we are excited about the racing now on tap for this weekend.”

The Tickets: Grandstand tickets are $20 per night on Thursday and Friday. Children's tickets will be available at the event only for just $2 Thursday and
Friday.

Pit passes are $30 per night on Thursday and Friday.

Both nights of racing action will be live with in-depth coverage on pay-per-view at www.TheCushion.com .

The Trade Show & Midway: This year’s rendition of the Short Track Nationals will also include the Eleventh Annual Short Track Nationals Trade Show &
Midway. Fans, drivers & crews will have the opportunity to visit vendor displays, which opens at Noon on Thursday and 9am Friday.

...well, the TRICK-r-MEET at I-30 Speedway anyway....as it has been gobbled up by this Saturday's rain out.

We had a TON of interest from drivers and fans, and we'll do it again the next time the STN falls on Halloween.

Thanks again to everyone's efforts to make racing fans of all ages have a extra-memorable time, but the weather just isn't cooperating.

The plan is for the pits to open both days at 2pm, with the grandstands opening at 4pm. Races are at 7:30pm.

Each night is a complete program of heats and feature races for ALL cars (there is no entry fee either night). Even if you win tonight you can race on

The STN Midway/Trade Show will be open by 4pm today and then again Friday morning after 9am.

Here's the latest NOAA forecast as of 8:30AM Thursday morning, looks like we should have 'green flag' weather conditions through the Friday night event:

Today - Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.

Tonight - Mostly clear, with a low around 44. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph.

Friday - A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. East wind around 5 mph. New rainfall amounts
of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night - Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2am.

Forecast shows excellent racing weather, with the big storm not scheduled to move
in well after the conclusion of the event. (Latest estimate is 2AM arrival for rain on
Saturday morning.)

10/31 update: well, Friday's forecast of sunny and 72 pretty much matched up to Wednesday's reality of the same; as more rain interrupted the program
and the races got rained out. This season has been brutal. Forecasts have been really hard to trust all season long. We make plans for one thing, then
the weather does the exact opposite. Oh well, chalk it up to 2015...
