These pictures of the dirt work completed at LoneStar Speedway in Kilgore Texas. They are in high
resolution so you can see the detail - so please give the page a moment to load.

12 inches of clay was cultivated with a sub-soil mixer and combined with the materials that have
been applied to the racing surface over the past three seasons since the Hafertepe's have taken
over the track. Then the clay was graded into place and tilled.

There are still a few more projects that are in the works between now and opening night, which
features a $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Series event on March 31...but the racing surface is
now ready for action, we just have to wait for the calendar to turn.

The dirt work was finished on February 7th by track maintenance worker Jerry Smith, Sam Hafertepe
and Wayne Brown.

Everyone at the track is looking forward to a fantastic 2012 racing season with its 'Specials Only'
format and looks forward to seeing you all soon!
