In the case of weather forcing cancellation of this event, your online registrations will be refunded within 24 hours. Pre-entering your team allows us to pre-publicize what drivers are going to be racing this event, in turn, which helps us sell race tickets, and continue to paying these larger than normal event purses in the future. The Right Rear must be the RaceSaver plated Hoosier tire (that went into effect later last year). The other 3 corners of your car are open to driver preference. Grooving/siping is OK. This rule goes into effect for the February 21st LoneStar Sprint Smackdown at LoneStar Speedway. Joining the full program of Winged Sprint Cars, will be the Modifieds, Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds; which will also have a complete program of heats and features (not a LSS points event). A wild roller coaster forecast is currently showing that whatever precip that may fall should be over by early afternoon on Saturday; ...so LoneStar Speedway is moving forward with the highly anticipated LoneStar Sprint Smackdown on Saturday, February 21st at 6pm. Here's everything you need to know: - Sprint Car driver registration has been extended through tonight (saves $25) at www.darinshort.com/022115.html We understand that the forecast wasn't looking so hot and there are several drivers that held off on entering. In the chance that the forecast changes and the event does fall to weather, refunds will be promptly issued. So get entered if you're coming! Sprint Car feature starts 24 cars ($400/start!) and is 25 laps. -The forecast tomorrow at race time is right at 60 degrees with a 10% chance of precip throughout the night. Bring some warm clothes so you can enjoy the races. -We're not going to keep any of you hanging. If the weather does take a turn for the worse, we will immediately post here, and the track website and area racing forums any change to our race status. | 2PM RACE DAY UPDATE: Online sprint car registration for tonight's races have now closed. You can register your sprint car upon your arrival at the track tonight. At-track registration is $75, and you will race for the fully advertised purse of $1,000 to win and $400/start (24th). All Non-qualifiers receive $100. PITS OPEN at 3pm, DRAW CUTOFF at 5:15pm, PIT MEETING at 5:30pm, HOT LAPS 6pm. THANKS to everyone for getting registered, especially with this crazy weather forecast we had to contend with! |
